The air
balancer you can depend on
Coleman EzM is the multiple
reeving arrangement of our EzLift pneumatic balancer. Here, just as with the other
standard arrangements, operators are provided with a device which can lift and balance
their loads. This balance feature frees the operator to use both hands to accurately
float the load anywhere inside the work envelope. |
Features of the EzM
> Heavy duty construction for a long
life
> Standard 48" stroke - optional
lengths to 120"
> EzLift cylinder mounted horizontally
inside an enclosure for a reduced overall height
> Mounting eyes for easy connection to
overhead trolleys
> Multiple reeving lift cable to
multiply the cylinder's stroke for lifting
> All pneumatic system operates on
clean air (no lubricators to refill or oil mist to exhaust)
> Automatic weight sensing and
balancing control circuit automatically makes all the adjustments
for handling different
weights
> Two button push button controls
> Coleman speed valve prevents erratic
movements and controls EzLift if the air supply is cut off
> Safety swivel hook mounted on lift

Operation of EzM
In empty balance, EzM is floated over to the
load to be moved. Once the hook is attached to the part, the load balance button is
pressed and held. This will activate EzM to start lifting at a preset adjustable
rate. When EzM is fully supporting the part, the button is released. EzM will
then sense the weight of the load and will put it into balance. In the balanced
state the part can be moved through the full work envelope by lightly pushing up and down
on the handles provided or on the part itself. The EzM will do all the work to move
the load, and will maintain the position you release it at.
To release the load, the part is floated into place. The
empty balance button is then pressed and held. EzM will return to Empty
balance. The hook can now be slipped off, and EzM can be floated to balance the next
load. |

Overhead Supports |
Coleman Equipment
can supply a complete system by providing an overhead support to mount the EzM on.
Standard systems vary from light duty jibs to long spanning bridge cranes which can be
floor, ceiling or wall mounted. One arrangement which facilitates operation in
cramped quarters is an EzM mounted as the secondary boom on our LongRanger
Articulated Jib Crane. EzM uses zero height when mounted inside the second arm
of LongRanger. This allows for maximum under-clearance. The two part boom of
the LongRanger also allows the unit to be used around columns, through doorways and close
to walls. |
